The Conditions of Love by Dale Kushner

I read this book a few months ago as part of my research for a profile I wrote for Isthmus about the author, Dale Kushner. I just remembered that I hadn’t mentioned that profile on the blog, so here is a link. The book is lovely, very moving and sad, but hopeful, too. Kushner writes beautifully about the pain of growing up and learning to give and receive love.
