Sigh. This is the part where I tell you why I haven’t been blogging. Though the problem really isn’t with the blogging, it’s with the reading. I am stuck. I can’t seem to finish a book; indeed I haven’t finished anything since August 23 when I wrote about The Perfect Summer by Juliet Nicolson. And that only counted as finished because I skipped some parts. What is the matter with me?
If (IF!!) all goes as planned I will finish The Postmistress by Sarah Blake tonight. Then it’s back to Master Cromwell in Bring up the Bodies, which is on my Kindle. I am going to visit my brother for four days; airplanes mean reading time for me, so perhaps that is all it will take. Let’s hope so. My apologies for how dull it’s been around here.

I've lost a bit of my reading mojo lately too. Hope we both find it again soon!
No need to apologize! Lying fallow can be good. Sometimes when I lose my taste for current writing, I go back to the masters: Tolstoy, Austen, Trollope....
The only thing that makes air travel tolerable any more is books.
I've been reading, but haven't been able to get myself to write reviews. Good luck getting your love of reading back!
We all go through this. Hope it passes for you sooner rather than later. Hope you enjoy your visit to your brother!
Me, too! I would like to blame it on the books, but I know it's me. Hope you find a book after these that totally enthralls you!
I'm reading but also writing fewer reviews and I am definitely not finishing a surprising number of books. It's got to make me want to do nothing but read for me to stay with it anymore.
I've also had reader's block for the past few weeks, I tend to blame the book as well. I'm reading Flaubert, so it should be my fault.
