Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri

This was good. I read The Namesake last year, but had not tried this because it was short stories. But since my success with Alice Munro I thought I'd try again, and was rewarded. I do miss the continuity of a novel, but her characters (like Munro's) are so vivid, that you feel that you know them in a few pages. I love books about India, both modern-day India, and the colonial era. This was very enjoyable.

It was the 50th book I read this year. To keep my average I need to read two books in the next week. Can I do it?
